What can you say about Pete. Former college football star Pete fell into a life of debauchery when he came to England and married local WAG Ruth. Their life became a whirl of celebrity functions including home groups, band rehearsals, whiskey and Schisha evenings. All this and raising two cool dudes, Josh and Maisey.
Pete earns his player of the month award through hanging on in there. Not only has he continued to work for an heartless international courier company (whose name we cannot mention for legal reasons) he has 'loved his enemy'. Recent 5-a-sides have been full of his work colleaugues- 'who are you? ... oh I know Pete' has been a phrase continually heard at the Power League in recent months.
Pete, we salute you. As a brother in rehab and a fine example to us all. God will certainly bless your visions as you have honoured Him where you are.

A player who normally takes a behind the scene role Kathinka came to the fore following the retirement of Dennis Bergkamp. With North London needing another Dutch master (or mistress) Kathinka has come out of Jeanette's shadow and thrived on the new responsibilities given to her. Prefering to play off the big centre forward (a role normally given to her son Nathan) Kathinka has inspired us with her rousing team talks and is often the only person to get out of bed when North London face tricky early morning away fixtures at Watford or Harri's house. Also invaluable is her cool and clynical finishing, meaning that at 2pm sharp she is straight back home to finish her marking into the early hours of Monday morning.
Fast become one of the best ever foreign imports to North London Kathinka is surely a future world star. What would we do without her?
Sadly following the relative success of the Aussie socceroos Jeanette has accepted a lucrative offer from the Australian Soccer Federation to succeed Gus Hiddinck as new coach. A fitting reward for a fantastic team player.
Having spent most of her church career in the reserves it looked for a time as if Jeanette would not fulfil her incredible potential. Unsure of her best position Jeanette was often over-shadowed by the flambouyant skill of the youth workers or the sauve sophistication of the worship leaders. Yet having come to North London United on a free transfer Jeanette soon became an integral part in our championship winning season, as NLU beat off the challenge of both F&F and Elephant to become North London's top community.
Moving into central midfield alongside Dutch playmaker Kathinka, Jeanette did the donkey work organising social after social. Her relentless drive provided much needed supported for the front two of Kellie and Martin. Whether playing in the big stadiums of Nandos or the more humble venues such as Halliwick Park Jeanette gave her all.
Jeanette will be greatly missed. A faithful servant and a good friend.
