Hearing God’s voice.

This subject has been my absolute passion since I heard a missionary speaker once talk about actually hearing God speak to him. Although I had been baptised in the Holy Spirit I hadn’t realised that a conversation was really possible. Would God speak to little old me?  I got very excited about it and began to “practice” by being quiet and still long enough to allow Him to speak. It started a revolution! My first prayers were quite funny. I was pregnant with my third child in 4 years and was panicking about coping. I asked the Lord about it and he said, “Everything will be all right”. I asked Him if He had a name (new idea this!) that He might like to choose and immediately the answer was, “Rachel”. I decide to believe what I was hearing and bravely told a few people.
As most of you know, Rachel is an almighty blessing to us and many others. If I had had a boy that might have been the end of the experiment!! Such is the nature of faith.
Go for it, everyone, and listen to your God and Father. He won’t let you down.

you remind me of my time on the healing retreat at Ellel Ellel (think that's how you spell it) got through the whole weekend wondering what the hell am I doing here, then Sunday morning we began with the service, and I just broke down and started crying as the hymns were being sung, I tried so hard to stop crying but I couldn't a lady behind me tapped me on the shoulder and offered me a box of tissues I was embarrassed but could do nothing to stop myself crying, then sudnelly a voice from within me, an English speaking male voice said "You are Free" I shall never ever forget that to the day I die.
