Books we are learning from

There have been three important books recently. First in a controversial and hard hitting book 'Pagan Christianity' (Written by Frank Viola and George Barna) shows that most of our church practices are not based on scripture. The follow up by Frank Viola 'Reimagining Church' describes church as the author thinks is God's intention. Frank is not a theorist and has been part of these 'organic' churches for many years. Finally in his latest book 'From Eternity to Here', Frank shows that our focus as evangelicals has been too narrow. The bible clearly shows that God has an eternal purpose bigger than (but including) getting everyone saved. He presents three remarkable stories and traces a divine theme woven throughout scripture.
