No doubt all the modern forms of bush telegraph have been active and you know the story being played out in my life right now. The roller coaster of emotions has been beyond describing and I have never ever experienced such a dark pit OR been touched by the power of God in such a dramatic and unimaginable way.

Last Thursday I was told I had cancer of the lining of the stomach. The immense shock and resulting heart-searching and torment (it sure does focus the mind!) were hideous. Without a few wonderful friends, some of whom are cancer survivors, I was helped to think straight again. John, as always, has been amazingly rock-like and prayed for me with great effect. I have confessed past sins and cares and seen major breakthrough in my deepest heart. Then a friend said that Ian Andrews was at her church the next Sunday – what timing!! We know of Ian from many years ago and I felt the Lord was kindly giving me a safe way forward. We went to the evening service and afterwards I was prayed for by 2 teenage girls, Ian and others and I was “zapped”. I fell to the floor and my whole body shook quite violently for more than 20 minutes so I’m told. I sat up eventually and the pastor was asking if anybody wanted to say something. I got up rather dazed and said something then he prayed for me again and said the fire of God was on me and I fell down again and shook again. What is the Lord Jesus up to? Even on the way home I couldn’t stop trembling.

That morning I had glanced at an old devotional book and the top verse was from the story of David and Goliath when David says, “I have fought the lion and the bear – who is this philistine?” I even managed a weak laugh and saw a similarity to my own situation. Please pray with me for complete healing.
